NQRNews HLs for 8 NOV: Biden Administration Confusion Over Money to Illegals

Dear Readers,

My apologies for being ‘off net’ for October and the first week of Novermber. I took vacation to Disneyworld with your Aunt and cousins, then dealt with a family health issue in upstate New York.

First the vacation. Disneyworld truly was the happiest place on earth. We rode the rides, we ate for days, I walked over 43 ‘fitbit’ miles in a week, and quite honestly had a GREAT time! The folks at Disney really do know how to move people and create a positive environment for a family at a theme park. Especially moving through lines. With cell phones to distract and video machines to entertain while being captive amongst HUNDREDs of people, Disney has it down! If you have the app, you are given the approximate wait times at ever ride, can order food and get an estimated eat time, and don’t feel pestered by the corporation to buy products UNLESS you go in the stores that sell merchandise. Yes, COVID was an issue and you needed to wear your mask inside confined spaces, but it didn’t really prevent anyone from having a good time. I HIGHLY recommend hitting Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida for a vacation. Even during COVID times.

Now about the health issue. Grandpa Mike had a dramatic health scare. As an 86-year-old survivor of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, COVID-19, prostate cancer and a heart valve repair survivor, G-pa Mike has run the gauntlet of health issues. He had a kidney infection, bladder infection AND sepsis. G-pa had just moved into an apartment in town, was taking care of himself when things went south. All this in upstate New York where nursing homes aren’t exactly known as safe ground for the elderly, even with Governor Cuomo gone. The bottom line, G-pa Mike is stable, getting better again, and looking at getting a pacemaker this week. We welcome prayers.

Just a statement on the health care environment in NY. They have let thousands of front-line health care workers go because they require those employees to get the vaccination to work. Even though, if you are double vaccinated, you can carry COVID, still get sick AND be asymptomatic, thereby making others around you sick. All the health facilities I went to, including a VA Center, and two hospitals were short staff by this self-inflicted mandate. This will undoubtedly cause greater stress on the healthcare system in NY as people with other sicknesses or illness are not provided the health care they need. This system is nearing a crisis that is self-inflicted by the leaders in the state government. Not only will people die from not getting the treatment that those fired providers could offer, apparently you can NOT get a prescription for Ivermectin, without being threatened by the state with the loss of your license to practice medicine. This is criminal. Shouldn’t all treatments that are available to fight COVID be used to combat the virus? Not used for political purposes against people that have a different opinion than so called, State “leaders”?

If you are fortunate enough to live in a country or state that allows you to get prescription medicine for therapeutics that assist in COVID recovery, consider yourself lucky.
