Disinformation, Misinformation or Propaganda? It’s all Crap!

Dis, Mis, and Prop! You Deserve Only Truth

By Uncle Mike

Lots of people throwing around terms such as; Disinformation, Misinformation and Propaganda. In keeping with NQRNews best practices, Uncle Mike wants you to be well informed. So here are the actual definitions. Bold is for emphasis:

Disinformation: false information which is intended to mislead, especially propaganda issued by a government organization to a rival power or the media.

Misinformation: false or inaccurate information, especially that which is deliberately intended to deceive.

Propaganda: information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view

In keeping up with our other practice, here are some Uncle Mike definitions:

Not enough information: Information that does not explain or place into context what happened, why it happened, and / or how to keep it from happening again. Such as…Presidential elections.

Too Much Information (TMI): information that just plain isn’t necessary or comes from ignorant people or authoritarian leaders. Who knows which is worse?

Bullshit: talk nonsense to (someone), typically to be misleading or deceptive. Also see USA Main Stream Media (MSM).

Hopefully this helps shine a light on what is going on with the US media these days. Be smarter than the MSM. The first MSM story is rarely the truth. The message you are being told is always told to shape you or influence your perception. And finally, you must look at three sides to every story. Left vs. right, him vs. her, positive vs. negative, and the third side; the truth.
