Dear www.notquiterightnews.com readers,
Rough couple days folks. Trying to sort the truth from the lies In the current political climate is difficult to say the least. We have eyewitness accounts thanks to social media of what is happening in Afghanistan, and we have what President Biden and the media outlets are telling us. I can only take seeing so many people being hung by Blackhawk helicopter.
No one I know disputes Biden decision to pull out of Afghanistan. It is the HOW the decision was executed that is beyond words. Infuriating debacle, ineptness, incompetence, and the list goes on. I listened to the Presidents’ speech. I understand his point about the “never ending wars”. But to salvage any credibility the USA still has, he needs to lead. He cannot allow terrorists to dictate terms and control the environment that we are currently operating under. This administration did a good thing in getting the US out of Afghanistan, but the way in which is was done demonstrated incompetence; diplomatically, informationally, militarily, and economically.
Agreements and dependency upon terrorists promises, putting out conflict information (numbers of personnel, did we have an opportunity to control Kabul, CIA or financial agreements, etc.), the lack of use of US military to get US citizens out earlier, and finally the lack of a plan to remove or destroy $80BILLION worth of military equipment that fell into Taliban hands. A total capitulation of whole of government coordination in employing DIME power.
The USA is no longer a first world power under this President. We have lost the respect of both our Allies and our Adversaries. It will be a decade or longer before the US recovers from this travesty.
Uncle Mike
